At the crossroads of talent, dedication, and opportunity, five young golfers from our Golf & Goal program are poised to make Ghana proud at the upcoming 10th Awa Ibraheem Junior Golf Championship. Scheduled to be held from October 19th to 22nd, 2023, at the prestigious Ikeja Golf Club in Lagos, Nigeria, this championship promises to be a momentous event that celebrates the promising future of golf in Ghana.
These players, along with their coaches will leave for Nigeria on Monday, 16th October by bus with the hope to get to Nigeria on time and acclimatize themselves with the environment, the course, the putting green and the people.

A Showdown of Talent and Friendship
This isn’t just a competition; it’s a celebration of young golfing talent. Our talented junior golfers are gearing up to represent Ghana with undying spirit and sportsmanship, as they compete in the showdown in Nigeria. With each swing and putt, they carry the hopes of an entire nation, community, and the dream of victory on their shoulders.
Gratitude to Our Supporters
We owe a profound debt of gratitude to our home club, the Achimota Golf Club, for their steadfast support throughout this journey. Their commitment to nurturing young talent has been instrumental in our success. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the organizers of the Awa Ibraheem Junior Golf Championship for providing this remarkable platform for our budding golf stars.
The Fafali Golf & Goal Project: A Beacon of Hope
The Fafali Golf & Goal project has been a beacon of hope since its inception in January 2021. Over the past two years, it has established itself as the premier children’s golf initiative in Ghana, producing more than 30 medals and awards during this period.
Originally conceived as a means to keep children active during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, the project has evolved into a force for empowerment. It provides education, training, and character development, enabling young talents to chart their futures and enrich their communities.
What started with 45 enthusiastic children has grown to impact over 200 young lives. These children found joy in joining their friends on the golf course, contributing to their holistic development.

The Road Ahead: Seeking Sponsorship
Today, we stand at a pivotal juncture in our journey. Our immediate goal is to secure sponsorship for our young talents to participate in more international tournaments, with Nigeria being their first step. We aspire for these exceptional children—Afi, Prince, Ellen, Rejoice, and David—to compete in four Invitational tournaments across the globe within the next year, allowing them to explore opportunities and experiences that will shape their futures.
Sponsoring these five talented youngsters means more than just supporting their dreams; it means bringing hope to our program, our dedicated coaches, and an entire community that takes pride in seeing their own excel on the world’s grandest stages.
The Fafali Organization invites individuals and organizations to join us on this exciting journey. Your sponsorship can be the catalyst that propels these young talents toward international recognition and professional careers in golf.

As we gear up for the 10th Awa Ibraheem Junior Golf Championship, our hearts swell with pride and anticipation. The stage is set, and our junior golfers are ready to make Ghana shine on the international golfing map. We invite you to be a part of this journey, to witness the birth of future golfing legends, and to contribute to a brighter future for our youth and our nation.
Together, we can help Afi, Prince, Ellen, Rejoice, and David reach for the stars and inspire a generation of young talents across Africa to chase their dreams, both on and off the golf course.
